About Us

Frobishers was established over 40 years ago by two Suffolk based wigmakers/hairdressers.

Whilst working for the original partners as a wigmaker over the last 25 years Jean has built up the ladies wigs and hairpieces side of the business for both private customers and NHS clients.

For 20 years the company has been a contractor to the NHS and all staff are fully trained in the operating practices required for this partnership.

In 2003 Jean and her husband John took over ownership of Frobishers in Ipswich and now Jean has her own team of dedicated, knowledgeable, friendly and approchable staff; all have extremely high values in customer care and service.

Jo, our shop manager, has now been with us for 15 years and Pam, our wigmaker/hairdresser, has worked for Frobishers for 18 years so our staff have many years of experience.
